new home

We've moved into our home as planned. After months of working on the renovation work and getting the house ready to live in, we now have our first home! Imran still calls it 'rumah bayu kita' but is definitely getting more and more familiar with the space. Although the house is still empty with absolutely minimum furniture, both Dino and I are super thrilled to have a nest we can call our own.

Of course having a house comes with huge responsibilities too, which I've always been nervous about, but so far we have been managing alright. We also have a maid now and at times I feel it is like having another child to worry about! But I can't deny the fact that I need one especially when we have the baby soon, hopefully in December.

The pregnancy has been well so far although am starting to feel pretty big now already when I still have 3 months to go! The baby seems to kick a lot more too as compared to Imran before. The boy is certainly getting hyped up about having a sister (hopefully!) and keeps reminding me that we need to get a cot and some curtains for the baby's room!

He seems to know what is going on around him a lot more these days and could converse with you like an adult - telling stories, asking questions and what not. Potty training wise, it hasn't been successful with me chickening out when seeing him not quite ready and also thinking that the timing might not be ideal with moving house. I might even leave it to the school to do it when he goes in October!
